Conjure Artifact

The Conjure Artifact Ritual summons a campaign-specific Target Artifact into the hands of the Ritual Caster or another Chosen Bearer within the Circle of Power. Target Artifacts are either explicitly named campaign-specific items or are selected through a method chosen by the Local Plot Committee. Artifacts are extremely powerful items and often are summoned with a specific deed in mind, such as attacking the lair of a powerful campaign enemy. At the discretion of the Local Plot Committee, players may discover information which allows them to try and Target a specific Artifact rather than a randomly determined one.

Once the Ritual is complete and successful, the Target Artifact will appear in the Circle of Power. The Target Item summoned must always match the Aspect of the Caster. Specific Artifacts may impose Spirit Links or Locks on their bearers, while others can be lost, stolen or passed to new bearers. Regardless, the summoned Item will remain for up to 5 days before it dissipates, returning to the place it was before the summoning. The Target cannot be kept for longer than 5 days by any means, and the only way to recover or find it is to attempt another Conjure Artifact Ritual.

The Target Artifact itself will be indestructible and impervious to a Destroy Magic Ritual. The Target Item will Resurrect with the Chosen Bearer, if it is Spirit Linked or Locked during the duration of this Ritual Effect. Should the Target of the Spirit Link or Lock permanently die during the course of the duration of this Ritual Effect, the Target Item will immediately dissipate back to where it was summoned.

The Local Plot Committee should be notified in advance of the Ritual casting, so a proper experience may be supplied.
